12 July 2009 -- Inaugural Ski Club Paddle
at Broad Ripple Park boat ramp in Broad Ripple Park
Rent kayaks or canoes at the Rusted Moon. The Rusted Moon has single and double kayaks for rent as well as canoes. Each kayak comes with paddles, life jackets and roof mounts. Your rental is good for 24 hours so you will need to pick them up on Saturday afternoon (Rusted Moon does not open until 11:00 am on Sunday)Don't forget water, sunscreen and whatever else you usually put in a small cooler! I'll give a few tips for beginners if need be and off we will go. We will simply paddle up river from there and return. Afterward, we can have lunch and a few cold ones in Broad Ripple at “Bobby Plumps” right next to the Rusted Moon to make things convenient for those that have rented. If you want to find soemone to share a two-person kayak or canoe, there is a group email, indyskiclub@yahoogroups.com that you can use.
16 July 2009 -- THURSDAY THIRST
at Bella Vita (outside on their beach on Geist)
Come for Happy Hour at the Geist Bella Vita restaurant. We'll be at the bar on the right side of the patio. It is a great setting to enjoy some drinks and food with old and new friends. Bella Vita has Rock the Beach nites on Thursdays this summer and the band starts at 7 pm. Come out and experience the ambiance of the beach with live bands.
18 July 2009 -- Bike the Trails of Carmel
at Jim and Vicki Robinson's
Meet at Jim Robinson’s for a bike ride from Carmel to the Monon Trail to downtown. Pitch-in brunch after the ride at the Robinsons.
21 July 2009 -- Groovin in the Garden
at Easley Winery
Taste some great wine while enjoying the music of Ann McWilliams on the patio outside of Easley’s Winery. Food can be ordered from several local restaurants for delivery to Easley’s.
24 July 2009 -- Band and Beer at the Ale Emporium
at The Ale Emporium
Listen to the Toy Factory,an exciting 8-piece R&B/Dance act from Indianapolis, IN. Toy Factory has been nominated for American Music, Golden Globe Awards, Co-written Grammy Award winning songs, and has years of professional experience. While listening to the music, enjoy the selection of over 100 beers.
